Before we get into the subject, we’d like to start by reminding you that there are two ways to approach the application Diskover, or you let the app’s feed show you what’s around you right now (with the addition of being able to activate or deactivate major categories such as Places, Agenda, Activities, Shops and Accommodations, depending whatever you need), or you can use the app’s search engine to look for new places that don’t necessarily have to be within a radius of 50 km., (this functionality is more for planning or for getting ideas when you haven’t yet you are at destination).
In the latter case, if you opt for an inspirational use of the type “- Mmmm, let’s see where I can buy Ratafia?” or “- Where do sardana dances?” or “- Which weirs are closest to me?”, you have the possibility to do it as we said, using the search engine; either by keyword, by pre-established filters (tags), or by population.
In the search engine is where the journey begins
In this article we want to focus on the populations most searched by users in the Diskover search engine. There, in the search engine, is where your journey begins.
If what they are looking for satisfies their needs (they can be logistical, recreational, cultural, etc.), this will probably be their next destination. They are therefore towns that respond to an initial interest on the part of travelers.
At Diskover we wanted to analyze which are the most searched populations of the last 1,000 population searches that have been done in the app, in order from highest to lowest:

- Barcelona
- Girona
- Vic
- Tarragona
- Deltebre
- Olot
- Lleida
- Aldea, L’
- Puigcerdà
- Sabadell
- Palamos
- Ampolla, L’
- Tossa de Mar
- Manresa
- Begur
- Tortosa
- Reus
- Berga

- Mataro
- Ripoll
- Lloret de Mar
- Arnes
- Santa Barbara

- Cadaqués
- Bellver De Cerdanya
- Terrassa

Therefore, these municipalities, if they have attractive content in the app, will end up convincing users that the next time they go out, they have to go there!
